So far after 3 episodes, barely a 5 out of 10 rating from me. The story lines are so layered with crap it’s impossible to tell what hell the writer(s), if there are writers since only one episode has a writing credit, are trying to accomplish, besides make us go “Ooooh I wonder what’s going to happen next in this train wreck I’m watching”. The tech and setting are at times ridiculous. Some of the acting is really bad (all the kids, the Eminence dude), but Mother is good and Father is OK. I’ll keep downloading it because it’s entertaining to watch how a train wreck like this happens.

Blade Runner is my favorite film of all time. It’s a focused, coherent, immersive, plausible story set in a focused, coherent, immersive, plausible world. It’s brilliant. This show is very, very far from all those qualities I love in a film or TV show, sadly.

yeah, i’m kinda with you on this sentiment. i love the weirdness of this, but the acting is pretty wooden (and there is really no character i give a shit about so far) and the religious undertones are….well, weird. i can’t tell if RS is making a statement *against* or *for* atheism. maybe it needs more development, but that piece of story just seems a strange ‘bolt-on.’

I might be influenced by the fact that Ridley Scott is involved but for me it feels somewhat like Prometheus did.
Still on the fence after 3 eps: don’t really feel like dropping just yet but am not particularly excited to see where it’ll go. Guess I’ll give it another ep (or two)

Ep 5: it’s not getting any better (or worse) and life’s too short as is. Time to cut my losses.

After E01: this is absolutely the most bizarre and interesting sci-fi series of this year; don’t know if I remember anything as unexpected like this stuff. One think I can say, I can’t wait to watch more.
